These layers are often depicted as radiating outward in bands, blending and interacting — together forming the aura.

• Chakras (Indian yoga system)

◦ Chakras are said to be energy centers along the spine; they radiate energy outward, shaping the structure and color of the aura.

• Meridians/Nadis (Chinese and Indian systems)

◦ These subtle channels distribute life-force energy (qi/prana) throughout the body, contributing to the vitality of the aura.

• Life-force energy (prana, qi, ki)

◦ The aura is often described as the field created by the circulation of this life-force through the physical and subtle bodies.

The chakras are traditionally described as energy centers within the human subtle body. They are part of the same system of energy fields (aura, etheric body, subtle layers) we discussed earlier. Each chakra is seen as a spinning vortex of energy that regulates the flow of life-force (called prana, qi, or ki depending on tradition).

Chakras and Energy Fields

• The aura layers are like the atmosphere around you, while the chakras are like gateways or hubs that channel and distribute energy through those layers.

• Each chakra radiates energy outward into the aura, influencing its color, brightness, and shape.

• For example, if the heart chakra is balanced, the emotional and mental layers of the aura may appear harmonious and vibrant. If blocked, the aura around the chest area might seem dimmer or clouded to those sensitive to subtle energy.

•  Chakras are the “power stations” that energize and regulate the different layers of the aura (energy fields). They interconnect the physical body with the etheric, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies.
